I’m a 2o something year old wife to a wonderful man, T, who looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo on a good day, and I am a mom to two little pups nicknamed Lala & Bub (Viola & Banjo). Our first born, Q, arrived February 2nd, 2011! I grew up in the hurricane armpit of America also known as the Texas Gulf coast. This blog started in 2008 when Hurricane Ike turned my life as a newlywed upside down. Those whiny, angst-ridden posts are long gone, thankfully. I was a chemical engineering major turned housewife/stay-at-home mom, serving Sojourn Community Church in the Houston Heights (http://SojournHouston.com). I love Jesus and am a completely broken, messed up creature continually being transformed by God’s perfect word and will.
I love doing crafty things and going thrift shopping. I’m all about turning junk into a treasure. One day I anticipate opening my very own store and enjoying every minute of it. You see crazy amateur creations here every now and then.
I read like a crazy person. I have loved it since I was little. The first book I read in one whole day was Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time. It is in my top ten favorite books. You are sure to find book reviews on here. I’m a book review blogger for BookSneeze.com and recently (10/28/2011) became a Crossway Book Review Blogger. You will see my blog book reviews for both of them and also my independent reviews of things that have sat on my bookshelf for years. I like writing, but being grammatically correct 24/7 escapes me. Expect typos and improper usage.
Other than that, thanks for stopping by and know that I absolutely love you!!
Blessings,
J
